1.REVULSION (noun)  घृणा
Meaning: a sense of disgust and loathing.
Synonyms: abhorrence, repugnance, nausea, detestation.
Antonyms: penchant, predilection, preference, propensity.
Usage: Widespread public revulsion at the executions exacerbated a growing alienation from the British administration in Ireland.



2. SUBVERT (verb) गिराना
Meaning: undermine the power and authority of (an established system or institution).
Synonyms: destabilize, unsettle, overthrow, overturn.
Antonyms: elevate, ennoble, uplift, exalt.
Usage: Please reject this underhanded attempt to subvert democracy in Illinois.

3. POCOCURANTE (adjective) उदासीन
Meaning: indifferent or unconcerned.
Synonyms: apathetic, listless, insouciant, nonchalant.
Antonyms: overprotective, prudent, absorbed, concerned.
Usage: Since the boy didn’t plan on doing his homework anyway, his pococurante look on his face did not change when the teacher assigned the 10-page essay.

4. PRIGGISH (adjective) दम्भी
Meaning: self-righteously moralistic and superior.
Synonyms:  smug, sanctimonious, moralistic, prudish.
Antonyms: broad-minded, permissive, overstrung, uptight.
Usage: After living with his wife for 30 years, the husband was tired of the nagging and demands made by his priggish woman.

5. AIL (verb) बीमार होना
Meaning: trouble or afflict (someone) in mind or body.
Synonyms: trouble, bother, burden, distress.
Antonyms: heartiness, robustness, soundness, wholeness.
Usage: All patients can do is trust that the strangers on their health care team are competent and caring enough to do their best to help correct whatever ails the patient.

6. FRAY (verb) झगड कर तय करना
Meaning: (of a person's nerves or temper) show the effects of strain.
Synonyms: irritated, edgy, stressed, fraught.
Antonyms: agreement, tranquility, calm, harmony.
Usage: She wrote a few days ago that she considered quitting her job as a columnist after six months because her nerves got frayed.

7.SACK (verb) बरख़ास्त करना
Meaning: dismiss from employment.
Synonyms: bounce, discharge, dismiss, terminate.
Antonyms: recruit, employ, engage, hire.
Usage: They made him pay for his offence by giving him the sack.

8. BUDGE (verb) हटना
Meaning: change an opinion.
Synonyms: retract, yield, acquiesce, compromise.
Antonyms: resist, object, confront, oppose.
Usage: That's why the bosses have so far been refusing to budge over the pay and conditions.

9. PURITANICAL (adjective) कड़ा
Meaning: having or displaying a very strict or censorious moral attitude towards self-indulgence.
Synonyms: prudish, puritan, prim, priggish.
Antonyms: lecherous, indulgent, indecent, debauched.
Usage: It just shows that those endless puritanical bromides about the perils of fixating on individual designers are wasted breath.

10. SWATHE (noun) सख़्त
Meaning: a large part of something that includes several different things.
Synonyms: envelope, stretch, area, track.
Antonyms: brink, border, boundary, margin.
Usage: These people represent a broad swathe of public opinion.
